President and Founder of Allegro, Lawrence “Kai” Yeh, is a graduate from the United States Naval Academy with a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. A licensed Professional Engineer and Licensed Unlimited General Contractor in the State of South Carolina, Kai has over 25 years of experience completing more than $128 million in construction projects.

Kai has received many professional accolades including the Small Business Administration’s Minority Small Business Person of the Year award in 2009. Additionally, Kai’s commercial construction company received the Charleston Business Journal’s 2nd fastest growing company in the Tri-County Region and the SC Chamber of Commerce’s 14th fastest growing company in the state in 2008. He attributes his success to having outstanding partnerships with customers, vendors, and employees that are focused on providing a quality product that meet the needs of the end user.

Kai is highly involved with the community and is an active member of the Sea Coast Church, North Charleston Rotary Club, Society of American Military Engineers, USNA Alumni Charleston Chapter, USNA Class of 1990 President, and President of Paradise Island Home Owners Association. He also serves on several boards including Charleston Metro Chamber Board, Treasurer of the Parklands Foundation Board, SunTrust Bank Advisory Board, and Trident Technical College Board of Trustees (2013-2016), where he provides insight and leadership in areas of need for the community.

Originally from Maryland, Kai has lived in the Charleston Tri-County area since 1992 while stationed at the former Charleston Naval Base. He and his wife Jody have been married for 19 years and live on the water in Awendaw, South Carolina.  They have two children, Aidan (13) and Anelle (12), and mostly enjoys spending free time with his family. Additionally, he enjoys fishing, cooking, travelling, boating, camping, going to the beach, coaching sports, and watching football.
